What is litho printing?

Litho (or lithographic if you want to be technical) printing is a popular form of printing for the likes of catalogues, magazines, and promotional posters. In simple terms, litho printing involves placing the image you want to print onto a metal plate. This is then covered in ink. Then, the material you want to print on is placed against this plate, and voilà – you’ve got a great quality print product.

Our litho printing services

At NPS, we provide a quality litho printing service. Whether you need premium brochures, handbooks, or magazines, we can meet your every need and high standards for a great price. We want to make the best products. That’s why we ensure that the ink and paper we use is sourced from sustainable suppliers and tailor our print products to your requirements.

What are the benefits of litho printing?

You may be asking: why use litho printing in the digital age? The idea of printing with metal plates may appear a little old hat, but it has significant benefits over digital printing. For one, you can use heavier materials for print. This may include heavier paper or cardboard. Secondly, litho printing can be convenient for printing in large numbers. In fact, it can be cheaper using litho printing than digital printing when you need a lot of print product. Finally, litho printing delivers an unrivalled quality when it comes to print products, offering precise and colour-vibrant prints on every run.

Print FAQs

Absolutely, we love to see our clients own work and bring it to life for you. If you have personal artwork you would like printed for frame, a t shirt or for your new favourite mug or copies to share with your friends and family we can make this a reality for you with the same personal touch you created it with.

Memories are precious and for those of us who are old enough to remember waiting in line to have photographs developed we know over the years and generations some can sadly lose their quality. However, our expert team of designers and printers take pleasure in restoring your moments captured like they were yesterday.

When deciding which option is best, consider the number you need produced in the specified time. If you want a smaller amount printed quickly, digital printing is the best option; and if you need to produce a large quantity of print, then litho printing is the better option.
