Speak to an expertDigital printing uses digital-based media as the source for printing on a variety of media. Using digital printing, files such as PDFs and other computerised imagery, text, and files can be sent directly to print on materials such as paper, photo paper, and card. It’s a simple solution to printing small quantities of print products because you ensure precision, quality, and a quick turnaround without having to set up printing plates that you may need with other printing methods.
Digital printing is one of the newest and growing methods for printing. We all have a desktop printer at home, but our services stand out a little more. Digital printing is great for small quantities of print products, and our services can help match you with a printing method as well as the most suitable materials for your job. Whether you need pamphlets or booklets, matt or glossy paper, or a print product with more weight, we can provide a great deal of choice and flexibility.
While digital printing involves more complex technologies than other printing methods such as litho printing, the setup and the process are both simpler. Traditional printing plates, where an image would be processed, is not used in digital printing. Instead, the images are directly printed onto the product from the digital printing press.
There are currently two main types of digital printers. These are inkjet and laser printers. Inkjet printers propel ink on the substrate. Meanwhile, laser printers use static to attract the toner onto the substrate.
Thanks to the limited setup needs of digital printing, there are many benefits of this method. Firstly, without the time needed to set up, your products can be sent to print quickly and provide you with a quick turnaround. If you’re looking to print a small batch of products, then digital printing is ideal. The cost and time of setting up a printing plate are avoided, and you can still secure the quality that you would expect from other printing methods.
