With the support from Supply Chain North East the company have been able to secure grant funding for the cost of new printers which will enable the company growth and increased sales.
The company became aware of Supply Chain North East through a client conversation and, after contacting the programme, were assigned John Heslop as their dedicated business advisor. After conducting a holistic assessment of the core business through discussions with NPS MD Richard Bennett, John ascertained that NPS could potentially be eligible for capital grant support towards the purchase of new printing machinery. After assisting Richard with the completion of the grant application, NPS were successfully awarded grant funding.
Implementation of the new printers would bring multiple business benefits including:
- Increased sales
- New markets penetration
- Reduced sub-contracting costs of (out of region) Large Format Printing & Promotional Items
- Reduced Lead Times
The new printers have already brought immediate process through enabling operators to cut multiple jobs with minimal intervention. MD Richard Bennet said:
“We were subcontracting too much work in an area that was growing and we were not in control of the production. With the help of Supply Chain North East we’ve been able to invest in two new pieces of equipment, bringing the service in-house and giving us control which now ensures our customer gets the right product with the highest quality.
“It is fantastic to know that help is available sometimes for things you would not expect especially for capital expenditure. The service and support we received was exceptional, our advisor took the time to get an understanding of our business and the challenges we faced.
“I would recommend any company to talk to Supply Chain North East, they have a wealth of knowledge and experience. There aren’t many things or situations they have not come across.”
Supply Chain Business advisor John Heslop said: “After meeting Richard and learning more about the company ambitions and challenges, it quicky became apparent that Supply Chain North East could look at support through a capital grant application. Richard was extremely supportive in providing me with the required supporting information such as financial forecast and job growth projections.
“Needless to say, I was very happy when I learnt that the grant application had been successful and that NPS were moving forward with their business growth ambitions.”
